Studies and designs for the new headquarters of the General Directorate of the National Police on Calle 26 in Bogotá. The proposal combines structural strengthening to bring the buildings into compliance with NSR-10 and the renovation of Blocks A, B and C, including façades, outdoor areas, landscaping, administrative offices, auditoriums and supporting spaces.
The design prioritizes natural light and passive thermal comfort strategies. While respecting the exterior appearance, it transforms the interiors, particularly the central atrium in Block A, through contemporary architecture inspired by high-tech design. Electrical, plumbing, voice and data services remain exposed and are harmoniously integrated into the architecture. The proposal incorporates life-safety criteria from Titles J and K of NSR-10.
